A must have for taming my lab’s shedding storm!
I’ve got a 6-year-old lab with a super thick double coat that turns our house into a fur factory every single day requiring daily vacuuming. I was skeptical about deshedding tools after trying a few others that just pull at the fur without getting to the undercoat, but the FURminator Undercoat Deshedding Tool? Total lifesaver. The design is smart with an ergonomic and comfortable grip that doesn’t make my hand cramp after 10 minutes of brushing. The curved blade with fine teeth glides through my dog’s coat effortlessly, grabbing handfuls of that loose undercoat without snagging or irritating her skin. Side note, do this outside! The amount of fur it produces is astonishing. It’s somewhat satisfying to see the collection of fluff at the end.If you’ve got a heavy shedder, especially a breed like a Lab or Golden, don’t hesitate – this tool pays for itself in sanity saved!

The cats and I love it!
I bought this for the sibling pair of lazy squatters I have living in my upstairs that are apparently known as “cats.” They’re black, they’re furry, they have claws, and they yell at me when they want to be fed. I grew tired of finding pieces of them everywhere and started trying to groom them with a slicker brush. One of the animals loved it but the other attempted to scratch and kick me to death. Then I tried a “gentle” slicker brush with the little nubs at the end of the wires. Neither beast minded that but the brush did nothing, basically just gliding over their fur and leaving it all attached to them. I found this and gave it a try and I swear I can hear the cats singing kumbaya in the Feline key of E while I use it on them. The cats LOVE it. Both beasts hold still while this gadget strips their coats of lots and lots of extra fluff. When I stop to press the very convenient button that releases the fur from the blades, they look to me for more. It’s stopped the bulk of the fur tumbleweeds the creatures produce and allowed us to have some quality time each day as I take pieces of them off without their knowledge. I cannot recommend this little tool enough! The cats also give all paws up.

Simply the best for undercoat brush-out
There is nothing better than the terminator for dealing with an undercoat. It simply works. We always use it on our cats and dogs on the lawn because fur flies everywhere. Better there than rolling on the floor inside! This is fun to use because it’s so satisfying. And it makes such a difference in how our pets coats look! There is no product more effective than this for brushing out the undercoat on shepherds, and other heavy coated breeds. It doesn’t hurt them either. Our cats and dogs love it!

Removes Fur, yet Annoys Me
It removes the undercoat, which is good.On the other hand one appeal of Furbinators is their fur release mechanism. It didn’t work well for me. They may have used the same design for smaller rakes. I have a large one, and the fur release mechanism doesn’t return easily. I can’t tell if the design of one spring for the entire width worked for smaller sizes, not larger ones, or if the spring compression is too low for the large mechanism.

Works and dogs like it
Actually works as described. I tried it on 4 dogs: 3 long hair and 1 short hair. The short haired dog LOVED it. The other 3 liked it pretty well. All 4 sat quietly for brushing and it really removed a ton of loose hair!

Game changer
Wish I bought this years ago! Someone recently recommended this brush for my dog. Years of using 10 different brushes for weeks on end just to repeatedly try to get the undercoat out. I got more hair out today in 5 minutes than I have in 8 days! My dog is chow/husky/shepherd mix. Has a thick, long coat and constantly sheds all the time. This brush didn’t bother him at all and most brushes do. I just had to go slow near his sensitive spots. But yea I recommend this brush to everyone with a thick long haired dog!

Best thing you can do for your dog
I don’t write reviews. Bought a couple dog brushes according to reviews on Amazon. They absolutely failed and actually contributed to my dog shedding indoors. Saw a random ad about the furminator and found it here, on Amazon. This piece of equipment literally took about a pound of fur off the neck of my black lab. It was undeniable. I run with my ‘buddy’ every morning @5am in Florida where the temperatures reach 80°. I can’t believe I’ve been making him run with the ‘sweater of dead fur’ every time.

AMAZING
I’VE WRITTEN LIKE 4 AMAZON REVIEWS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE HAHA. THE ONLY REASON WE ORDERED THIS WAS BC OUR OLD FURMINATOR WENT MISSING AND WE COULDN’T FIND IT. THE OLD ONE WAS PRETTY MUCH THE ORIGINAL FROM WAYYYYY BACK. I RECOMMEND THIS NEWEST MODEL 100%. I JUST USED IT FIRST TIME ON OUR 35LB. WHIPPET-MIX AND SHE WAS LICKING MY FACE THE ENTIRE TIME VS. WHEN I USED THE OLD ONE SHE DIDN’T TOLERATE IT VERY LONG AND TRIED TO WRIGGLE AWAY. I’M KICKING MYSELF FOR NOT UPGRADING TO THIS NEW FURMINATOR YEARS AGO……
